About 1% of the #dogagingproject dogs are enrolled in a clinical trial to test if rapamycin can increase healthy lifespan in dogs, the TRIAD trial. We are now recruiting dogs at sites throughout the US. They must be greater than 45 lbs and 7 years or older. dogagingproject.org/triad. 8/n

For a subset of 1000 dogs, our “Precision Cohort”, we have clinical pathology information, and next year’s release will also include measures of the epigenome, metabolome, microbiome, and immune phenotypes. 6/n

Doggie Decoding: Understanding Canine Body Language Without the gift of gab, dogs are left to rely on a bark, a tail wag, or, sometimes, even a snarl to communicate with their two-legged companions.

"Understanding our dogs' basic body language allows us to gain insight into their thoughts and feelings about the world around them and what they are experiencing," said Harmony Diers, project manager for the Dog Aging Project.

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025.

This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.
