A lovely day out today taking advantage of it being the penultimate day of the Michaelmas vacation.
Lunch in Bromley, good food and a couple of glasses of decent(ish) Claret.
Home now with some superb Welsh cheese and a small (😉) glass of Pinot Noir and Thank You Jeeves by Plum.

A very Merry Christmas to all the overworked and underpaid court staff, lawyers and judiciary who do so much more behind the scenes than anyone outside the legal world will ever know!
I raise a glass to you all (the bottle of fizz was a gift to me!).

What a bad old world I live in...Sheep following the far right rubbish, following their untrue rhetoric...flying the (Chinese made) flag which has never been taken from them or banned...anger everywhere...
Time for a glass of red, some cheese and some Wodehouse.

Despite the problems with the world (which are heartbreaking), a few glasses of wine and some good cheese, with great company, really does help.
Just listened to an old podcast by @mrjamesob.bsky.social and along with his excellent book, it's been a nice night.

Another superb day of local football in Thamesmead today.
We dedicated the game to our local #LGBT+ group and the big crowd also helped us raise some money for Age UK Bexley.
Proper community football club.

Another wonderful week long trip back to Cardiff.
Seeing the excellent court staff in the CJC & Crown.They all really do work their,you know whats, off to ensure justice is delivered (in very trying circumstances & surroundings).
They're the best of the best.

I loved it when Jeremy Paxman had to give the weather at the end of Newsnight, "and now the weather...some rain, some wind good night!"

I honestly feel that the effort behind the scenes, court side, isn't always fully appreciated. Dilapidated buildings, low staff numbers and morale but an ever increasing work load. The can do attitude of court staff in the Crown Courts never fails to impress me.

The transcripts for his trial are on show in the robe display area of the Royal Courts of Justice, worth a visit!

A lovely Valentine's Day dinner of...fish and chips accompanied by a decent bottle of Sancerre.
Vera on telly whilst I read an interesting book about the history of the English legal system (boring so and so that I am 😅).

A rare night back in London saw me take my beautiful fiancée out for a meal. Only to Wetherspoons, but still, an ok-ish meal.

A fantastic day of local football with wonderful people today...most of whom said, in separate conversations, how nasty / vile X is now.
