17.02.2026 05:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Debating if this means I should look this game up or avoid it like the plague...
17.02.2026 05:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The best Valentine's trip I've ever had was with my girls to Portugal. Though we took the week. 10/10 would recommend
16.02.2026 22:26 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Honestly a meaningless holiday for me romantically but I do like planning a girl's trip for that weekend
16.02.2026 22:25 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0These things but I also like living with a spirit of adventure and love the horror genre (and some people think the mummy is scary)
16.02.2026 18:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Here's what came to mind:
makes you think? Jurassic Park
made your view the world differently? John Q
understand others/someone else differently? Good Will Hunting
best expresses who you are? The Mummy
made you laugh hardest? Tucker and Dale vs Evil
made you cry? A dog's purpose
Are these questions asking for separate movies or one that does all of the above?
15.02.2026 05:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0See but I don't relate to that about other trek shows, I liked voyager, ds9, tos, and even enterprise within the first season. For me next generation is unique in this way. I'll still keep with it though out of curiosity
15.02.2026 05:11 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Same, followed back! And I look forward to any of your thoughts as you continue watching the next generation or whatever else you're into
15.02.2026 00:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ah, that was probably the smarter way to go. I started with the original series, but when I didn't love the next generation I decided to try the others.
Someone did just say that Picard becomes himself/the character people love in season 4 so I'll keep carrying on
That's great to know actually. I figured he couldn't be people's favorite for no reason. I still plan to watch tng so I'll look forward to season 4
14.02.2026 23:56 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For some reason, Picard is also not that capturing to me. I liked Kirk, Sisko, and Janeway pretty immediately, but maybe Picard is a slow build?
14.02.2026 23:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0I just reached the second season! I think the biggest issue may be that I started DS9 at the same time which has a slower start but the single location lets them build these long interesting arcs with the Bajorans, etc. Next Gen is very episode of the week for me with characters I'm not keen on yet
14.02.2026 23:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0In fairness to next gen, I've not made it very far (season 2) in comparison to the others. But that's also because I'm aggressively bored when watching it ๐ญ
14.02.2026 23:10 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0To me, it seems like the ranking of old trek should easily be:
DS9
Voyager
TOS
Next Gen
Enterprise
It's been about 4 years now, taking my slow little star trek journey and I have to say: I'm still struggling to understand why next generation is everyone's favorite.
14.02.2026 23:06 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0In other news, something minorly annoying that has changed in my lifetime is the amount of people who drive with their windows up.

14.02.2026 00:28 โ ๐ 5145 ๐ 2000 ๐ฌ 54 ๐ 19I'm having such a fun life and I'm struck by the fact I have no way of knowing how much of it is left

13.02.2026 22:52 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My siblings and I are all on my mom's plan, but we also pay our part of the bill. Her service is grandfathered in and she gets more benefits at less cost. There was never any sense in switching to our own.
13.02.2026 22:51 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I wonder where I'll stand on it by the end. Here's to hoping that I like the whole book as much as the first third.
13.02.2026 22:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Picked up the joy luck club a couple days ago, and it feels like a shining example of what a multi pov book should be. No filler chapters, everyone gets a meaningful story, and after each chapter you really contend with each person's part in the narrative.

Ring has been committed to making mass user driven surveillance palatable since it rolled out those cute ads of people greeting loved ones or returning packages or whatever.
Theyโve been affectively priming us to accept surveillance as s fact of life for decades.
Sorry I'm not following. You said the less he's involved the worse the problem but also that unfortunately he's involved. Those two statements seem to contradict each other.
08.02.2026 16:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Eh, I didn't feel that way about strange new worlds or lower decks. I did feel that way about the later seasons of discovery and this Starfleet academy though. Academy is the worst offender in this way by far
08.02.2026 13:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Is there a reason they're speedrunning character development and major plot points??
08.02.2026 06:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Starfleet academy is interesting but I wish they would let things breathe. Interesting plot points resolved in 2 minutes is madness
