I talked on MSNBC today about the corruption playing out at the FCC. This isn't just about Jimmy Kimmel being silenced. The FCC is planning to change the rules to allow the company that shut down Kimmel to have a monopoly-like stake in local TV ownership.
19.09.2025 21:51 β π 6569 π 2490 π¬ 332 π 133The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.
Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.
Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.
But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.
I was reliably told celebrating political violence was cause for government reprisal and private sector termination.

Whatβs at stake here is free speech.
Across the board, weβve seen the Trump administration use the power of government to go after anybody whoβs criticized them β and in this case, Jimmy Kimmel.
We need to all stand up and speak out.
All of the unions in Hollywood should immediately boycott Disney/ABC. They only care about money, so go after that.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

It's worth asking why every elite institution is issuing statements like this rather than pointing out the obvious fact that the institutional right commits and glorifies violence far more than the left. Is there a reason you feel you can't say that out loud?
