ICE conduct in Colorado "unlawful”: Federal judge restricts how immigration officers can arrest people in the state The ruling is a win in federal court for ACLU, Colorado law firms who sued ICE to stop “indiscriminate” arrests and detentions

A federal judge last week blocked ICE from making indiscriminate arrests without a warrant in Colorado, in a case brought by @acluofcolorado.bsky.social.

The Trump administration can't arrest people because of our skin color, accent, or perceived nationality in order to fulfill arrest quotas.

It's not too late to defeat another needless surge in our government's immoral, $1 TRILLION+ budget for weapons and war.

"And then we can get to work using that money to save health care subsidies and keep millions of Americans from losing health insurance."

During the shutdown, Senators couldn’t agree to extend subsidies for even one year to save millions of Americans from DOUBLED health care costs.

Yet they did agree on a $32 BILLION increase for the Pentagon.

This is representation for weapons companies, not for the people.

Time to reprioritize.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

Lack of tents, food and warm clothes leaves Gazans exposed ahead of winter As winter approaches in Gaza, more than a million residents are vulnerable to extreme weather and disease, as Israeli restrictions hobble the humanitarian response.

As winter arrives, over one million Gazans lack shelter, with 92% of housing destroyed by Israel.

In violation of the ceasefire, Netanyahu continues to restrict the entry of tents and other aid, including food.

The U.S. must demand that Israel allow full humanitarian access NOW.

📣No matter how the administration tries to spin it, the killing of boat strike survivors is either a grievous war crime, or simply an act of murder.

In either case, these killings should shock our conscience, as @jenrubin.bsky.social writes.

Congress must exert its authority to stop them.

After a U.S. attack on a boat in the Caribbean earlier this year, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly ordered a second strike to kill the survivors.
Journalist @attackerman.bsky.social says it reflects "the moral degeneracy that the war on terror has left as a legacy in the U.S. military."

🚨 Despite the ceasefire in Gaza, the Israeli gov's bombing and aid restrictions have not stopped.

With winter approaching, U.S. officials need to step up and demand an enduring end to the killing and full aid acess now.
