BREAKING: The Senate just blocked a bill that would have renewed ICE's budget without real, enforceable changes.
This is a direct result of hundreds of thousands of people across the nation demanding that our Senators vote no.
The Trump admin.'s cuts to foreign aid have caused enormous suffering & rising instability across the 🌍.
But a new funding bill in Congress could provide some reason for hope.
Despite some serious problems, it funds key programs and pushes back on some of Pres. Trump's most severe proposed cuts.

New: Civil rights attorneys have filed a lawsuit against the Trump admin. on behalf of the families of 2 men killed in U.S. boat strikes.
“These premeditated and intentional killings lack any plausible legal justification. Thus, they were simply murder, ordered at the highest levels of government."
NEW: Trump is floating a $1.5 trillion war budget.
$1.5 trillion could fund Medicaid, the child tax credit, SNAP, the Department of Education, national highway repair, the NIH, school breakfast & lunch, FEMA, the FAA, the EPA, and federal overdose prevention COMBINED.

A year ago today, Quakers around the country sued the Trump admin. to stop ICE raids in houses of worship.
The case remains ongoing, and our call remains the same:
📣Congress must rein in ICE + protect sacred community spaces where everyone deserves to feel safe.
As Minnesotans courageously take the streets to make their voices heard, we're working in solidarity here in Washington for accountability and to block any more funding for DHS terror.
