To be fair, Liverpool FC (mens) do have a lot of woe at the moment, and no amount of punctuation appears able to change that...

Not necessarily. It's more of a question of style than grammar, especially in the UK. The sentence is fine as it is.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from OkjΓΆkull to Ok (jΓΆkull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

B&W photo of two hospital staff in PPE hugging

Tomorrow is a hugely important day.

At 4pm, the UK Covid-19 Inquiry will publish its report into the UK’s pandemic decision-making & political governance.

I dearly hope our political leaders & decision-makers will listen, learn &, above all, act on the findings.

Because there will be a next time.

Last week, I stayed on a farm for a couple of nights and saw red kites flying, hares running and heard owls hooting in the nearby woods.

It was gorgeous.

I would have photographs but the kites fly very high, the hares run very fast and the owls hoot when it is very dark.
