Back in 2015 I was seriously into inking traditionally, might get back into it someday!

The same image as previous but with coloured lines connecting the paths of different characters through the scene across time, including a pedestrian, businessman/merchant/patricians, police/soldiers, labourers/plebians (and a cat). In the last panel a man drops a basket of olives, which progressively grows into a large ancient olive tree across the panels.

I've always loved comic sequences showing timelapses of a single location/view, so I was glad @rikworth.bsky.social wrote one into the Rome book. Was fun-strating trying to figure out some interaction across timelines too, with equivalent characters crossing paths etc. for the observant reader.

So exhausting..

Yesterday saw someone who is trans with an enormous following with horrible takes about being trans. So I wanted to remind you that:
-You are no less trans if you decide to not take hrt or can't.
-You are no less trans if you don't feel dysphoria of a specific part of your or with your entire body.

This film was fantastic, thank you Animation Obsessive! Besides the incredible story, art, and production history, also swirling in my mind is the Subcontinental representation, & allusions to looting (rarely discussed in war films)

It reminded me of Makoto Shinkai’s Beyond the Clouds (2004)
