Really enjoyed this beautiful YA novel last month. Important story of art, immigration, community, and young, queer love.

A button maker sits behind two campaign buttons. The left button says, β€œSupport Hempfield Schools,” and displays a logo of an H inside a red shield over an open book. The right button has a blue background and displays the word, β€œVOTE” above the name of four Hempfield School District school board candidates - Best, Linton, Small, Williams.

Book 4 of 2025 βœ…

Diane Chamberlain’s Big Lies in a Small Town is mysterious and beautifully written. And while part of the story is set in the 1930’s -40’s, that piece could absolutely happen today.

My mom, a bibliophage, had an embosser and I always loved finding its imprint on books she deemed worthy. I thought my dad still had it, but apparently not.

For Christmas my hubs got me my own. β€œDemon Copperhead” got the first press.
