Blackwood has been more cautionary tail than success story. It's been a few years since a contender successfully changed starters (LA and Washington a couple offseasons ago). Gonna be a tough move for Bowman to pull off. Not saying he shouldn't, but I understand why it's taking so long.

I like Knight, but between his $4.5 this year and the retained on Jones, plus his raise next year Chicago is spending $7-8.25m per year for a guy who's gotten into 30 games once in his career. That's the kinda wild swing only teams with nothing to lose can take.

It's not really a salary dump when you retain $2.5m for 5(!!!) years.
