How the Grinch stole the best years of my life: a memoir

I've started blocking or unfollowing people sharing AI generated content, but it's getting to the point where I won't be able to tell anymore. We're going to have to go back to 'trusted soruces', people who have been verified as real somehow. Lord knows how that will work though.

It's worrying how good the AI videos are getting. It's becoming so hard to tell what's real from what's made up, especially when it's something we want to be real.

Hey it's *Bandcamp Friday* again. The best day to go find that artist who was top of your Spotify unwrapped and actually buy their music, because all the proceeds go to them today. And by god do musicians need it.

I get the feeling that if W*terstones could partner with an AI company to sell people the exact story they wanted print-on-demand they would, cutting out the middle man and keeping all the profits for themselves.

If you've seen the video (I'm NOT linking it here) of dogs 'choosing' their owners you know what I'm talking about. Look at the hands. Always look at the hands.

They're getting so much harder to spot too. Saw one yesterday that just felt a little off at first. I had to watch it a few times to find the telltale artifacts of AI. On first viewing I didn't notice them at all. Once AI figures out hands we're done for.

It's just a product to them. All they care about is getting paid.
