I was explaining this to someone else but, people who use AI Keep thinking it makes them "just as creative" as a real artist.

But they haven't even cultivated their IMAGINATIONS.

No, Huens just loved limited palettes!

So at the same time as these Huens Prydian covers, ther were also ones by Don Maitz for the Yearling editions.

Dell had an embarrassment of riches for covers at this time, because they had two children’s children’s imprints, Yearling (trade) and Laurel Leaf (mass market), and would commission two different covers for the same book.

I’ve seen Huens originals, and, besides being beautiful, they’re TINY, only a little bigger than printed size!

I have to defend my peers and say there’s still amazing cover work out there if you look for it. But none of us are Jean-Léon Huens!
