Just finished watching #SummerSlam, and I'm actually baffled that John Cena's heel run ended because Rhodes forced him into a match, and now Lesnar is back?

Whatever began between The Rock, Cody and Cena just sort of fizzled out. I loved the match, but the storytelling was mad dead.

Magic: The Gathering got me properly paying attention to a Final Fantasy game for the first time, I've got high hopes for Remake Intergrade Mega XP Edition Featuring Dante From The Devil May Cry Series 🙏

Catching up with last night's WWE SmackDown, but now we've slapped an LED strip light to the back of our TV, and the vibes are immaculate 😊

I think there's a fine balance between being entirely safe, and something missing the mark entirely. If it's just more Battlefield 3 and 4, I'll be happy!

I enjoyed what I played, but what else can Dice do beyond replaying their greatest hits? That's the difference.

I'm not a massive Assassin's Creed lad, but it is cool to have a little Ezio lying in wait within a deck.

Magic: The Gathering deck names are bonkers...

So, one-colour decks are called 'Mono Red', which makes sense, but two-colour decks? Time to switch over to in-lore naming conventions, like 'Rakdos', or 'Dimir' decks, and three-colour decks aren't any better either - mind boggling as a new player 🥲

Either they concede within a few turns, or lose by the end of the match, and I much prefer the latter!

As I continue to learn how to play Magic: The Gathering, one of my discoveries is that as soon as a Mono Red type deck is deployed, people would rather kill themselves than play against it 😬

Discovering what the older Magic: The Gathering cards looked like back in the 90s, only to find most of them are inches away from being modern-day Wojack memes.

I've heard from a handful of people saying that it's quite boring, and it REALLY doesn't help that Superman came out recently too (which I very much enjoyed).

Final Fantasy 7 Remake looks stunning in places, but the surrounding NPCs can look incredibly terrifying at times.

Played best two out of three, and right before I won the round, she laughed and hit me with Sephiroth's Intervention for the bants 😞

I've not even played Final Fantasy 7 and Sephiroth is torturing me.

I'm literally setting up the kitchen table for a game right now!

I visited my local hobby shop this morning and left with my first Magic: The Gathering decks, plus a lovely bit of Chaos Black for my 40K Storm Speeder!

Not only did they put the Final Fantasy Starter Deck aside for me, but in terms of prices for everything, they couldn't be beat. What a day!

It's a great time!

I've finished my tenth game for the year, the recently released point-and-click adventure game: The Drifter!

Not a genre I'd normally play, but @dave.powerhoof.com and crew killed it. Both thrilling and action-packed, but more importantly, it's well worth your time too.

It's not a great film by any means, but I certainly had a good time with it, and laughed plenty of times too! If you can get a cheap cinema ticket, you'll have a fun, harmless time.

An evening spent laughing is an evening well spent! Just a shame about Not Nordberg Jr. though 😬
