Spent a /lovely/ time getting my very first crown on my back molar this morning. Our dentist uses a wireless scanning wand to make a 3D model of your teeth to send to the lab that makes the permanent crown.

Also, I guess I'm old.

Also, major kudos to emergency locksmiths who show up within 30 min at 2:30 in the morning. I'm sure I'm about to find out it's a pretty lucrative business. 😭😭😭

Welp. 2:38am post bc we managed to lock ourselves out of our house after getting home at 1:00am from a week of traveling while I wait for an emergency locksmith to let us in.

Ha. 😂 It probably does put them in less peril, but I've been twirling the force probes with classes for probably 5 yrs with zero casualties!

Per @fpoodry.bsky.social, it's recommended to use cut pool noodles to pad the sensors. Also, using the black screw to hold the washer masses on the back is a lot easier than what I did (that was my D'OH moment 🫠)

Do you have force sensors? I do this using Vernier Force Sensors and get pretty good data.
