Never understood for a minute why people would let listening devices and video cameras manufactured by a major corporation like Amazon, into their homes. As usual the problem isn't the people who want to do this do us, its the utter stupidity of the people that enable it.

Sadly he's exactly suited to Bilbao, which is where he will end up, later rather than sooner hopefully

After yesterday I think it’s time for Labour to have some very serious conversations with the BBC

This graphic was produced by the Home Office, note the language of deform rather than using the correct words "Asylum Seekers" They think can win back votes from deform, based on the replies to their post, they can't

And I’m sorry you are so naive to believe that is possible in the current Labour Party.

Tried having a sensible discussion but you resort to insults again. Try growing up lad, I'm out

Dont say that on here, you'll get a pile-on from the left!

Would love Rayner to get it, but I'm not that optimistic that she would. Again I'd love to be proved wrong

They're not ready yet, that's not controversial and they are probably never going to "win" an election in the short term. What they are doing is dragging the needle slowly back to the left and may very well be able to hold the balance of power in 3 years time.

06.02.2026 11:48 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I admire your optimism, can you give me an example of someone in labour who could lead the party to do this?

06.02.2026 11:42 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Agreed, he talks a good game. I interviewed him once, talks a lot of sense but he's no better than the rest of them

I guess time will tell, really, REALLY hope I'm wrong about all of this.

I agree 100% but I also think the Labour Party has been decimated and any one else they put in would follow exactly the same path

06.02.2026 11:33 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You still here? Are you the arbiter of how discussions happen? You misunderstood my opening gambit, perhaps you should stop

06.02.2026 11:31 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I understand that but at the moment deform IS an inevitability, especially since labour decided to adopt some of their policies. There is definitely time to change that and I believe given another couple of years or so it will. But if the government falls in the next year or so it's all over.

06.02.2026 11:30 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Sorry to hear that. So explain who in the Labour Party is going to make it better? Lammy, Streeting? Something better IS possible as shown by the Greens, it's why I joined them. But it need time to grow
