As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. It’s often said you never know when you’re living through history, so let me assure you: that’s what’s happening now.

this bill is legitimately a three-alarm fire. if they manage to define trans existence as explicit then there is nothing stopping them from genocide. i need every single cis person talking about this, calling their reps, getting out in the streets.

it's 2026: kansas passes a law nullifying trans people's licenses. crickets.

Something that has worried me personally for some time is what would happen if Florida were to try and nullify my name change that I had done some 12 years ago now.

Even moving to a safer state and city, I still fear what could happen.

Abolish the legal gender marker entirely. No government can be trusted to have a database of which people have changed theirs, no government has any business tracking what your gender is "supposed" to be in the first place.
