Our carpool would leave an hour early (6am) but gridlock still added an extra 3+ hours to the commute per day. It was extremely stressful and I still get stress hives when stuck in traffic to this day. Can't emphasize enough how important good public transit is for everyone.

It might help but I'm still traumatized from the bus strike of 2008 and don't need another reminder.
