Hopefully your local community is open and welcoming, but some folks will more readily engage with new players in terms of offering assistance, extra bulk cards, etc so don't be afraid to ask for help as those folks will jump at the opportunity!

My advice? Ask people at your local game stores. We have people direct new folks to our discord, and I've even had LGS' take people's names and numbers/emails and give them to me so I can reach out to them.

Also check for an online community such as a Discord server!

I never joined the MTG community, just played kitchen table with friends. When I started playing Flesh and Blood, I didn't have any friends that wanted to try it, so I kind of *needed* to join the community. Thankfully I found the local FaB Discord server and joined the community that way.
