U.S. judge unfreezes funding for $16 billion New York City tunnel project A federal judge unfroze funds withheld by the Trump administration for a $16 billion project to overhaul rail infrastructure in New York and ‍New Jersey.

Construction of the Gateway tunnel, the largest infrastructure project in the county, has been well underway. Yet, thanks to President Trump, 1000 people hard at work on the tunnel were laid off during a lapse.

This ruling is a win for those who can now get back to work & travel across the region.

I'm outraged and disgusted.

After all his past behavior, nobody should be surprised by how insanely racist this sick man is.

This is just one of the clearest examples, so far.

The President should be censured immediately. This behavior has NO place in our country.

Early detection saved my life, and early screenings save thousands of lives every year. I’ll keep fighting to ensure others have the same chance I had to catch any signs of cancer before it’s too late, and to be able to afford to do so.

These words ring true in this nation today just as it did in 1963. We must remain steadfast in our commitment to treating our neighbors with respect and fighting for justice for all.

ICE took two Princeton residents into custody, including a father of 4 after dropping off his son at school. The failed practices of ICE have led not to community safety but to the breaking up of families. The pretense that their mission is to deport dangerous criminals has been shown to be a lie.

This week, I stood with Democrats to introduce Articles of Impeachment against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

Her malicious and incompetent leadership has led to chaos across the nation. Americans did not ask for this. Democrats will not stand for it.

House Republicans upped the ante today. They said we can make things worse. They tried to nickel and dime hard-working Americans and restrict their ability to advocate for their employment rights. They failed.

From day one, the Trump administration and Congressional GOP leadership pledged to lower prices to make life better for Americans. Instead, grocery costs have skyrocketed, health care premiums have soared, and affordable housing is more inaccessible than ever.

Americans did not ask for this. Clearly, Republican leaders either do not care or are too afraid to hold Noem accountable, so Democrats are taking immediate action.

These actions demonstrate a lack of regard for the safety of those she swore to protect and a lack of respect for the rule of law. This behavior is something we see in nations ruled by dictators.

For the last year, she has used federal funding for personal benefit, allowed ICE to forgo due process of American citizens, and obstructed attempts by Congress to conduct oversight.

Secretary Kristi Noem’s malicious and incompetent leadership has led to chaos across the nation— with people disappearing off the streets, families torn apart, and innocents killed in the process.

Today, Democrats are moving forward to impeach her.

I’m forever inspired by Gabby’s courageous tenacity— from her return to Congress just months after the attack to the 15 years of advocacy that ensued to prevent the loss of more lives to senseless gun violence. It’s an honor to be in this fight with her.

For months, we’ve fought to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits. We know that without them millions of women and families will go uninsured and have to make impossible choices.

Today, we have a final chance to save them.

Republicans must join us. This is a matter of life and death.

Life in America is already too expensive. On January 1st, Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans made things worse by ending ACA tax credits and raising premiums for millions.

Today, Democrats (and a few Republicans) will vote to extend the tax credits. I hope my NJ GOP colleagues will join us.
