More than 3,000 Boeing workers begin strike after rejecting a contract offer Roughly 3,200 workers are striking at sites in Missouri and Illinois. Members of the labor union representing the workers rejected a modified contract offered by Boeing last week.

IAM District 837 members — many of whom are my constituents — go to work every day building the foundation of our national defense. These dedicated workers deserve pay and benefits that reflect their contributions. I stand with them as they strike for a fair contract.

This report illustrates why we need to crack down on union-busting in the workplace. That’s why we’re fighting to pass @norcross.house.gov's bill, the No Tax Breaks for Union Busting Act. 📢

At the same time, over 80% of unions submitted their legally required financial disclosure reports on-time. We’re looking at a two-tiered system, where unions are held to a higher standard than corporations and union-busters.

Why does this matter?

Because this means that workers are being left in the dark about union-busting in their workplace. The law is being applied in a way that lets corporations and union-busters off the hook.

But this new report from @laborlab.bsky.social shows that 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 of employers are reporting their union-busting activity, despite being legally required to do so.

Some background: under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, employers are required to publicly disclose their spending on “persuader” activity – i.e. union-busting.

A new report out from @laborlab.bsky.social contains some shocking new findings on the state of the union-busting industry in America: bad bosses are skirting transparency rules and covering up their union-busting activity.

House food service workers are the unsung heroes who keep Congress running. But with new vendors coming in, these workers are unsure if they'll still have a job.

The Trump Administration Is Making All of Our Jobs More Dangerous That’s very bad news in a country where a worker died on the job every 99 minutes in 2023.

Every worker deserves a safe job and a living wage. But from construction sites to meatpacking plants, Trump is gutting workplace protections.

We need more OSHA inspectors, not fewer. 

We need to empower unions, not attack them.

A new report from the AFL-CIO shows that top CEOs made 285 times what their workers take home. Their average compensation is $19 million.

And Trump just cut health care for 17 million people to give those same billionaire CEOs another tax cut.

Labor Department proposes rewriting or repealing more than 60 'obsolete' rules in push to deregulate workplaces The Labor Department says the goal is to deliver on President Donald Trump's commitment to restore American prosperity through deregulation.

Stripping away labor protections makes it easier for companies to exploit labor without consequence.

There is nothing “obsolete” about keeping people safe on the job. This will endanger workers in high-risk industries.

The Fair Labor Standards Act, signed into law in 1938, laid the foundation for workers’ rights, establishing minimum wage, overtime pay, and protections against child labor. As a co-chair of @laborcaucus.house.gov, I'm committed to strengthening these protections for workers across America.

Last week, I met with @teamnjea.bsky.social to discuss how Congress can better serve NJ students and families! Our kids deserve every opportunity to succeed—not the hurt that will come with Trump’s Big Ugly Bill.

Today marks 16 years since Congress last raised the federal minimum wage.

That's why I'm a proud supporter of the Raise the Wage Act, which would raise the minimum wage to $17/hr by 2030.

The federal minimum wage has been $7.25 for 16 years now. Let's be honest, no one can live off of that. We need livable wages now.
