Americans work hard, and deserve a well-earned vacation.Β

I am reintroducing my Protected Time Off Act to guarantee paid vacation for all full-time workers in the United States.

More than 3,000 Boeing workers begin strike after rejecting a contract offer Roughly 3,200 workers are striking at sites in Missouri and Illinois. Members of the labor union representing the workers rejected a modified contract offered by Boeing last week.

IAM District 837 members β€” many of whom are my constituents β€” go to work every day building the foundation of our national defense. These dedicated workers deserve pay and benefits that reflect their contributions. I stand with them as they strike for a fair contract.

Widening Divide: Employers and Union-Busters Skirt Reporting Rules While Unions Comply - LaborLab A new report from LaborLab reveals a significant and widening gap in compliance with the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA). The report, titled β€œOne-Sided Transparency: The Growing ...

This report illustrates why we need to crack down on union-busting in the workplace. That’s why we’re fighting to pass @norcross.house.gov's bill, the No Tax Breaks for Union Busting Act. πŸ“’

At the same time, over 80% of unions submitted their legally required financial disclosure reports on-time. We’re looking at a two-tiered system, where unions are held to a higher standard than corporations and union-busters.

04.08.2025 14:42 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Why does this matter?

Because this means that workers are being left in the dark about union-busting in their workplace. The law is being applied in a way that lets corporations and union-busters off the hook.

But this new report from @laborlab.bsky.social shows that π₯𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐑𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚π₯𝐟 of employers are reporting their union-busting activity, despite being legally required to do so.

Some background: under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, employers are required to publicly disclose their spending on β€œpersuader” activity – i.e. union-busting.

A new report out from @laborlab.bsky.social contains some shocking new findings on the state of the union-busting industry in America: bad bosses are skirting transparency rules and covering up their union-busting activity.

The @wnba.com is breaking records thanks to the players who make it great.

I stand with them as they fight for a fair revenue share that matches the league’s growth and honors their value.

We're proud to stand in #solidarity with these workers and demand that incoming House food service vendors commit to:

πŸ’ͺRehire the workers;
✊Recognize the workers' union;
πŸ“’Maintain the workers’ union contract, including wages, health care, and retirement benefits.

House food service workers are the unsung heroes who keep Congress running. But with new vendors coming in, these workers are unsure if they'll still have a job.

We joined @unitehere.org Local 23 for their boycott announcement of the food vendors who refuse to hire these workers.

Allegheny County creates new way for workers to report threats to union rights Allegheny County launched a web page Thursday for workers to report violations or threats to their union organizing rights. The move comes at a time of local labor flare-ups and gridlock at the Nation...

Western PA is sacred ground for the labor movement, and we don't take kindly to union busters. Thanks to @ace-innamorato.bsky.social's office for launching this new form for workers to report labor rights violations. ✊

The Trump Administration Is Making All of Our Jobs More Dangerous That’s very bad news in a country where a worker died on the job every 99 minutes in 2023.

Every worker deserves a safe job and a living wage. But from construction sites to meatpacking plants, Trump is gutting workplace protections.

We need more OSHA inspectors, not fewer.Β

We need to empower unions, not attack them.

Executive Paywatch - 2025 | AFL-CIO

A new report from the AFL-CIO shows that top CEOs made 285 times what their workers take home. Their average compensation is $19 million.

And Trump just cut health care for 17 million people to give those same billionaire CEOs another tax cut.

It's been 16 years since Congress last raised the federal minimum wage.

As a member of the @laborcaucus.house.gov, I'm fighting to raise the minimum wage so that ALL workers can make ends meet. #RaiseTheWage

Labor Department proposes rewriting or repealing more than 60 'obsolete' rules in push to deregulate workplaces The Labor Department says the goal is to deliver on President Donald Trump's commitment to restore American prosperity through deregulation.

Stripping away labor protections makes it easier for companies to exploit labor without consequence.

There is nothing β€œobsolete” about keeping people safe on the job. This will endanger workers in high-risk industries.

The Fair Labor Standards Act, signed into law in 1938, laid the foundation for workers’ rights, establishing minimum wage, overtime pay, and protections against child labor. As a co-chair of @laborcaucus.house.gov, I'm committed to strengthening these protections for workers across America.

Today marks 16 years since Congress last raised the federal minimum wage.

That's why I'm a proud supporter of the Raise the Wage Act, which would raise the minimum wage to $17/hr by 2030.

The federal minimum wage has been $7.25 for 16 years now. Let's be honest, no one can live off of that. We need livable wages now.
