Underappreciated fact:

The paths and positions of the cable damages around New Years 2026 were to most of Estonia's internet backbone routes.

Had it fully succeeded/happened by accident (lol) Estonia would have been left with a crippled connectivity.

In the artwork, a group of young children is depicted, seemingly eager and curious. Three children face a large, intricately detailed door, pressing themselves against it as if attempting to listen for sounds or peer through a keyhole. The expressions and posture of the children convey anticipation and excitement, setting a festive mood appropriate to the eve of Christmas. A fourth child, positioned towards the bottom left, stands facing forward, smiling and radiating joy. Surrounding the children, the background features a red decorated pattern which frames the scene and contributes to the festive atmosphere. The composition beautifully captures the innocence and communal spirit associated with the holiday season, imbued with a sense of nostalgia and warmth.

Carl Larsson’s Christmas Morning (1894) captures the joyful chaos of holiday excitement in the Larsson family home, Lilla Hyttnäs. Painted with warmth and humor, the scene shows the artist’s own children as they awaken on Christmas day — a tender glimpse into the intimate world that later became iconic through his illustrated book A Home.

Quote: c.1894, this idyllic evocation of childhood depicts Carl Larsson’s seven year old son in the Larssons' family home in Stora Glasbruksgatan, Stockholm, at Christmas time. Standing in his nightgown with a gingerbread man in his hand, he wears a casque on his head to add to the festive mood. Behind Ulf, the table is draped with a cloth designed and embroidered by Karin Larsson for her husband, with the letters CARL spelled out. To the left of the candlesticks is a silver cup which was gifted to Ulf by his grandmother and engraved with both his name and the date. Charming in its spontaneity, the work was unrecorded until 1999. Carl Larsson's son, Ulf, died in 1905. He passed away on April 14th during an operation. In loving memory of Ulf.
