On Saturday, November 1st, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, also known as food stamps, will not be provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). In a recently released USDA memo, the Trump Administration announced they will not pay SNAP benefits for November despite a SNAP emergency fund of at least $5 billion. Congress specifically set aside this funding for the purpose of supporting SNAP in the event of an emergency like this. This is not just the right thing to do, it is the law.

NUTRITION is the KEY to good health. There are MILLIONS of people like me with disabilities & chronic illness that DEPEND on SNAP. The stress of worrying about are we getting our benefits or are we not, is troublesome alone. This Administration between cutting 1T from Medicaid & now this, is DEADLY!
