Next on Ezra Klein's show: "One thing the election this week proved is that Democrats, while winning in large numbers, are still not capturing certain segments of the voting populace, ones with loud voices and earnest visions for the future. I want to welcome on my next guest, Nick Fuentes."

Klein's argument is that the right is winning in pulling the Overton window further to the right, so Democrats should move their rhetoric further to the right to win the moderates. The cycle will continue until the crying stops (or is illegal).

Essentially Musk continues to be an idiot who will believe what he wants in order to continue his dominion for all eternity, will lie to his followers to gain support, and spend vast amounts of wealth to maintain control. Sounds fucking familiar. THAT's the applicability of Tolkien.

The men who were coming from the far east to fight for Sauron were coerced and fed lies or otherwise enslaved. They are not inherently evil people, but if you lack critical thinking (or reading skills) like Musk, you could just chalk it up to "foreigners are evil" and misconstrue Tolkien's work.

He wrote about the Drúedain, a group of people seen by the Rohhirim as less-civilized perhaps, but they spoke multiple languages and had a society fully their own, AND they supported Rohan by scouting the way to the Pelennor fields, playing a small role in fighting for survival.

To say that Tolkien wrote the Hobbits as a reference to any specific group of people is just incorrect, which is no surprise coming from Musk.

Yes the LOTR saga could be boiled down to Good vs. Evil, but Tolkien wrote nuance that is often overlooked by numbskulls like Musk.

I really dislike how Musk and Thiel and the fascist right have tried to appropriate Tolkien, and continue to thoroughly misunderstand his work. Tolkien was explicitly anti-fascist, and also explicitly stated that his stories were not allegorical representations of real-world peoples or events.

It would not surprise me at all if the Proud Boys have found a new home with a state endorsed group in ICE. It's everything they wanted to do but didn't have the authority, but now they can round up whoever they don't like with impunity while wearing their safe little masks.

Eilish is not the problem, billionaires are, hoarding their wealth, exploiting the labor force, and ensuring they never lose control of the people.

Billie Eilish donated about 1/5th of her estimated net worth, around $11 Million. If Zuckerberg donated 1/5th of his net worth, that would be about $51 Billion. Billie Eilish clearly didn't need that money to continue living a wealthy lifestyle, what does Zuckerberg need it for?

Maybe it says something about me but I also sleep less than 7 hours a night and I also work quite a lot and I also work out (though I do enjoy cardio), but I'm not a billionaire? Maybe it's the years of exploitation and backstabbing, I haven't tried that part.

AND even as a kid I remember other kids in high school in the early 00's making Nazi "jokes" that were clearly over the line, and they were disciplined for it. If they're involved in political organizing, they're old enough to know what they said was immoral.
