RPGs, books, and occasionally something spicy. High-tech lowlife. Queer as in fuck you. πŸ”ž| God save me from ever having to hear a 14 year old's opinion on anything.

Maybe I'm showing my age (and time spent reading up on coal country), but coal exhaust is a primary cause of acid rain. Due to being full of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

You know, cause of mass plant die-offs until it was mostly mitigated via regulation. Something we learned in elementary.

I'll be real, I only know the US one because it's sung before sportsball events.

I didn’t even know misconduct in public office was a crime here πŸ’€ You’re telling me that’s been illegal this whole time??!

All the characters get so poorly used in TLJ.

The only one that actually seems to get to shine is Luke, just because he gets a minute to be a snarky farm boy and take the piss out of a character the audience knows is a total loser. I'm sure a lot of that is just Hammill being Hammill.

It's a comic book! Surely for the amount of money poured into the project someone could get an intern to flip through the prior work in the setting real quick...

Even worse, it's Dark Empire. A Star Wars story from Nineteen Ninety Fucking One.

Yeah. I'm on my second symptomatic case right now because someone infected the whole damn office.

Made it years, then twice in the last six months because people just shrugged and gave up on basic precautions like not coming to work sick.

Suppose if you want someone to identify minors, one of Epstein's circle sure has the experience.

Ick.

Still a sucker for Wing, even if it was about a terrorist boy band in mechs with a suicidal pacifist groupie chasing the lead singer.

Construction hardhats too. Just about lost it the first time I saw one on a site.

Same, I only know my granddad's legal first name because I have his military records. Everyone who knew him, up to including what's written on his tombstone, used his preferred name.

Oh look, yet another company demanding access to PII they're in no way competent to handle, and will farm out to third-party vendors who just say 'whoops' and dissolve when caught in a data breach.

Yeah, that is 100% some shit that didn't happen. These people, and the so-called journalists taking them at their word, are just exhausting.

They assume we'll all forget, and it will be business as usual. It's up to all of us to show them otherwise.

The difference being that real money's value is backed by countries, which have armies. The value of the dollar lies in the state's willingness to use violence (via the remove of the legal system) against those who refuse to accept it having value.

Yep.

Zero regrets, the chances of actually holding onto it, not getting scammed, and actually being able to cash out are approximately zero anyway.

Even right now the notional price is a myth because the market is so shallow you couldn't sell any real amount before cratering it.

Patience is the hard part. People don't understand how easy it is to burn and crank up the heat to get done 'faster'.

He lost a million tokens theoretically valued at $1 each, but not actually redeemable for anything.

The scams are multi-layered.

The proof that necromancy isn't real is that John Brown's body lies mouldering in his grave rather than rising to the occasion.

Crucially, only for the next business quarter, too. If you have to burn the entire business down to spike profits long enough for them to sell their shares? They're here for it.

100%. They're not investors, they're degenerate gamblers betting on the fluctuations of an unstable market.

I love how their weight is infinitely variable based on mood. One moment, walking across a blanket without making a sound. The next, somehow putting 30lbs of pressure on the foot planted on my bladder.
