This morning Uganda announced a new Ebola outbreak.
The last time there was an Ebola outbreak in Uganda, the CDC worked with the WHO on helping end it.
But now, the CDC canβt even talk to the WHO.
I repeat, again and again, this is pure stupidity that will only hurt us.

Weβre losing another partner staff and #humanitarian hero in #Gaza. The number of aid workers killed in Gaza over the past year is the highest ever to be recorded in a single crisis. #NotATarget

During the period covered by the report, there were at least 136 strikes on at least 27 hospitals & 12 other medical facilities. More than 500 medical professionals have been killed in Gaza since 7 October.
The report notes that several of these acts may amount to war crimes/crimes against humanity.
A new report published by UN's OHCHR graphically details the destruction of the healthcare system in #Gaza,& the extent of killing of patients, staff, & other civilians in these attacks in blatant disregard for international humanitarian and human rights law: www.ohchr.org/en/press-rel...

This morningβs raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital has put this last major health facility in North #Gaza out of service. Initial reports indicate that some key departments were severely burnt and destroyed during the raid. 60 health workers and 25 patients in critical condition, including those on ventilators, reportedly remain in the hospital. The patients in moderate to severe condition were forced to evacuate to the destroyed and non-functional Indonesian Hospital. @WHO is deeply concerned for their safety. This raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital comes after escalating restrictions on access for WHO and partners, and repeated attacks on or near the facility since early October. Such hostilities and the raids are undoing all our efforts and support to keep the facility minimal functional. The systematic dismantling of the health system in Gaza is a death sentence for tens of thousands of Palestinians in need of health care. This horror must end and health care must be protected. Ceasefire!

This is just outrageous. #FEWSNET issued a #famine warning for North #Gaza. The US pushed them to retract and remove the report. What a shameful and unacceptable example of political manipulation of #humanitarian aid, systems and tools by a donor country.
