This looks to be UPS 2976, an MD-11. @flightradar24.com public data picked up a brief altitude value of 175 feet before it dropped back to 0 and the data ends.

Completed my first 100kms ride yesterday, everything went fine luckily.
I still need to figure out my carb/electrolyte/water intake since I did get a light cramp and was bonking out towards the end, well that and also I may have been pushing a bit too hard considering my fitness levels haha.

X-59 takes to the skies for the first time

Great to see this thing finally in the air, one of my first projects involved X-59 parts

Couldn’t miss this one, Ameristar sent a 737-200 to AUS a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to catch it leaving but nonetheless I was pretty happy just seeing one of these flying.

Tried to go on a 60 mile ride this morning but had cut it short due to heavy fog.
Ended up calling a friend to give me a lift back home 🥲.

An airACT 747 veered off the runway on landing in Hong Kong, reportedly striking a ground vehicle. Local media are now reporting one occupant of the vehicle has died and the other has been taken to hospital. www.flightradar24.com/blog/flight-...

Hopefully I’ll be able to make it next year.

Woah! Qatar Cargo is sending their “Moved By People” B77L to Austin!

We’ve been getting several 747’s at AUS bringing in F1 cars and equipment these past few days.
Last one so far was this Silkways 747-8, they’ve all been arriving and departing during work hours or in the middle of the night so I haven’t been able to drive to the airport to catch any of them 😭.

Who doesn’t love seeing a B-1B flyover.

Many new routes for Austin (AUS) in the last two weeks:

• Viva Aerobus to Mexico City (NLU)
• Southwest to Palm Springs (PSP), Fort Myers (RSW), Hayden (HDN)
• Delta to Columbus (CMH), Kansas City (MCI), Denver (DEN)

Next might be a new international carrier and route.

Then later on, two of them returned to AUS and the other two I flew west.

We got a bit of military aviation action at AUS this morning, first we had this T-45C Goshawk departing (these are louder than what they look) and a little bit later we had 4 A-10C departing to do a memorial flyover.

A Hawaiian/Amazon Air A330 diverted to Austin this morning due to storms at the DFW area. First time that a Hawaiian operated aircraft stopped by Austin since they cancelled their HNL-AUS service back in March.

Another 40 mile ride done. This one was exhausting, lots of hills including one that had a 15.4% gradient. Made plenty of use of the lower gears on the bike 😂.

Not a bad ride this morning, went to a local bike and hike trail and managed to beat my previous avg speed by a whopping .5mph! 😂
Planning on doing a 40mile ride tomorrow morning if I wake up.
