I can’t stand Dano as an analyst. He talks over and over about the shot and the touchy-feely stuff, but not once do they discuss or show a replay of how that breakaway came to happen.

There’s a risk Daws would have to go thru waivers this season and the Devils could lose him, and I don’t see him being the #1 next year with Jake Allen behind him. Buying another two years to either develop or acquire a starter makes sense to me.

So much for beating the injury bug this season.

So, three weeks or three months if history repeats itself.

We have no idea what Marky’s injury was, so I’m not sure what to fear other than rust.

Jack is probably feeling grateful that Rachel was out sick today and he didn’t need to give a postgame interview.

Today I learned what MSG’s scorebug now looks like during a shootout. As long as you don’t have a very common form of color-blindness, I suppose it’s an improvement over last year’s ones and zeroes. The Gotham app still sucks ass, though.

Credit to the Sharks. They’re a young, fast team with an outstanding goalie. With time, they’ll develop instincts and team chemistry and can go far. I’m rooting for them …. Just not tonight.

I agree with the rule. You break the rules, you go to the box for two minutes, by yourself, and you feel shame. A slash, trip, or cross-check can still be called after the whistle; there are no free shots. You even can get a penalty after the buzzer sounds to end a period or game.

That’s how the rule is. Infractions don’t get nullified if the clock has to be rolled back. If the puck went out of play or if a puck bounces in and out of the net undetected, any penalties that happened get assessed at the game time when the clock should’ve stopped.

The penalty call is correct. As they were reviewing the offsides, I was thinking there would be a penalty regardless. Infractions don’t get wiped out.

Gotta love #NJDevils fans…
