Fly Me To The Moon reaches major fanzine milestone - BBC Sounds The man behind the magazine, Robert Nichols joined Gary Philipson to discuss the fanzine.

Always proud to have written for this. I made friends that came to my wedding and was part of the team when the fanzine won a national award back in 2005ish… I think I was writing The Barron Nights at the time - dream analysis by our then goalkeeping coach Paul Barron. #utb

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

All this 90s Oasis nostalgia flying around and then you watch Top Of The Pops 1998 and it’s Five into Ginuwine into the cast of Casualty into Shed Seven. And Celine Dion was number one. BERSERK.

London is thriving. And the right can’t stand it.

They talk down our capital constantly, but the city is measurably becoming a better place to live.

6 facts that shatter their doom narrative:

Kiraly wore a grey pair. I think that might have tipped over into the noughties too.

Have you read Gary Stevenson’s book - The Trading Game? It’s on my bedside table but I’m finishing Bob Mortimer’s latest first πŸ˜†. Also worth a read, Bernie Sanders - It’s OK to be angry about capitalism.

John's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Research UK Help John Holmes raise money to support Alzheimer's Research UK

My brilliant father-in-law is raising money for Alzheimer’s in his 70th year. Boro fans - He’s a Sunderland fan BUT he’s cycling around a few football clubs in the region in one day to raise cash. He’s starting at the Riverside so sling this top fella some money.

@untypicalboro.bsky.social Ey up! My lovely father in law is doing this thing… Do you know who is a good person to contact at Boro to see if they can promote it/donate something they could raffle? (Yes I have recently married a Sunderland fan)

The English parts of Squid Games are SO jarringly written compared to the rest of it. I’d forgotten how unbearably stiff and poorly performed those bits are. It takes you right out of the show.

Well, the news we’d been expecting for a few weeks is official. I’m not excited but it’s still a decent appointment I think. Will be very interesting to see how we set up and who we sign/sell. Let’s go!!! #utb

Elon saying he’s going to reprogram his chatbot’s view of history is a perfect example of why these kinds of AI products aren’t the neutral β€œtools” people always defend them as. They’re little political projects reflecting the ideologies of their creators

A classic Southgate performance here would have been a comfortable 2-0 win with players who knew the system and a striker on the pitch for most of the second half.

This has been a case of just slinging objectively good technical players onto the pitch and hoping for the best without a coherent plan.

These miillionaires living in their country estates care nothing for inciting violence in our towns & cities for their own twisted gain.

Fabricunt will be gutted the driver was white British.

Fair fucks Sunderland. Held on a bit, then tried to win. Two superb goals. Sheffield United sat in after they scored and deserved to lose that.

Manchester United are a failed state. Harry Maguire up top for 15 minutes in a European final? Amorim a busted flush already? All they had were set pieces or crosses… Spurs were also absolutely dreadful. The goal summed the whole game up.

Two absolutely out of form teams really making this look unfinalesque, and yet they’d both probably thump Boro. Some bright sparks and players who can do so much better but CHRIST. One of these in the Champions League next year 😬

I’d love to see us sign players who can do what he wants. More pace. More players who are composed at the back. Someone up front who can hold it if necessary. Maybe someone else to help out coaching defensively. I’m rooting for him but he’s made errors.
