From now on, every time I hear someone tell me they only use AI to "come up with ideas", I'm going to give them a slightly pitying look and say "Aw, are your own ideas that bad?"

I will never understand writers who use generative AI. For me, the act of writing—the actual act of putting pen to paper or typing on a keyboard—is deeply fulfilling. The very act of creation—yes, it’s joyful and exciting. Why the fuck would you rob yourself of that happiness? FUCK AI

Caught another writer using AI & they were promptly let go.

I can not stress this enough: Any editor worth anything can AND WILL catch you if you're using AI to write. It's not slick, it's not subtle, & so many behavioral patterns beyond the writing are dead giveaways.

Do the work or get out.
