Red footed boobies do not currently nest on mainland Ascension but this season we have seen significantly more around the Letterbox NR... maybe in the next few years... 🀞

New pub: beautiful new ~35 myo skull of a flightless plotopterid bird (possibly Klallamornis) described from Washington state. Acid prepared! And big - 28 cm long! Same rock unit as some of the oldest known baleen whales on earth. Discovered by Jim Goedert. link.springer.com/article/10.1...
