Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

Every day there’s a “let them eat cake” moment out of this administration and Congress. If Dems don’t start plastering this stuff all over social media, billboards, etc they should pack it in. Holy hell.

The Justice Department targets cartels by prosecuting them.

Since January, federal drug prosecutions have dropped to their slowest pace in decades. That enforcement pullback was steepest for the types of cases used to go after higher-level traffickers.

Hundreds of Alligator Alcatraz detainees drop off the grid after leaving site As of the end of August, the whereabouts of two-thirds of more than 1,800 men detained at Alligator Alcatraz during the month of July could not be determined by the Miami Herald.

More than 1800 detainees are missing after the closure of Alligator Alcatraz. Their families and lawyers can’t find them and they’ve vanished from the ICE database. Feels like this should be a much bigger story www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...

Why's the Trump administration purging our military’s best?

Why are they closing a US military base in Romania that helps reassure our allies but offends Putin?

What's the plan--if there is one--with Venezuela?

This both warms my heart and really pisses me off.

To be clear, my anger and frustration is with the leaders and politicians who refuse to do their jobs - not every day citizens stepping up. Political leaders don’t feel and aren’t held accountable by their constituents.

Tell that to George Retes. This U.S. Army veteran and American citizen was wrongfully arrested and brutalized by ICE while simply trying to get to work.

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.

He is, instead, a 59-year-old Long Island wine importer named Bill DeBlasio, who merely responded to an email from a journalist seeking his views on Democrat Zohran Mamdani’s policies.

“I’m Bill DeBlasio. I’ve always been Bill DeBlasio,” DeBlasio said in an interview conducted Wednesday evening through his Ring doorbell in Huntington Station, Long Island, from his current location in Florida.

“I never once said I was the mayor. He never addressed me as the mayor,” DeBlasio told Semafor Wednesday evening. “So I just gave him my opinion.”

A shame there isn’t a part of Virginia they’d surely find acceptable easily reachable by Metro or a quick car or Uber ride.

Also - that’s about $1700 per trip. When I travel on business I only rack up that kind of cost when I have a flight, hotel, rental car, and generous per diem. What a crock.
