Either binder clips are made of very hard steel or my drill lacks enough horses. Today's #DIY project (a pocket clip for a knife sheath) did not succeed 😑

A knot of driftwood stands upright on the beach backed by mist and low frothy waves. An arc of silver set against the gray-blue mist forms a fogbow. The surface of the weathered wood is smooth but cracked in places, and there's an asymmetrical hole at the top that shows through to the sky. A sand dollar shell is wedged at the bottom of that gap. Below it, hanging by rope wrapped around the girth of the totem, is a rusty 5-pointed star. A variety of smooth rocks are laid out on the wet sand. Among them are a green shard of glass, an ivory conch shell, and a white feather.

When I think of Nauset beach, I am reminded of early mornings walking the sands wrapped in dense fog. One late afternoon, however, a fog rolled in slowly off the ocean, something I had never experienced outside of Northern California. 1/2
