Monday will mark a year since the "official" (over WhatsApp) end of my 20 year relationship.

Sometimes I would like advice on the internet about Ogg. Then I realise I have to spend 10 paragraphs explaining the basics, yet it doesn't touch the surface of her idiocy. Sometimes she doesn't understand the moon. Birds flying in formation break her brain. She barks at trees and owl noises.

He lives with his mum - doesn't pay rent, does no housework, doesn't even do his own laundry, doesn't walk his own dog. He always fucks off fishing on his 4 days off, leaving my 67 year old, 5ft, COPD and arthritic mum doing all the housework and care for him, his kids, and her elder sister.

I know it'll get better in a couple of weeks, when my aunt doesn't need constant care and I'm done with all my induction. But fucking hell.

My aunt's cat follows us when I collect Weenie for our evening walk. The dog acts like there's a serial killer behind us. And today she chased the cat so hard that when I stepped in the way to slow her down, she took us both out and didn't slow down one jot.

She's had to stay at my aunt's during the days this week because my mum is caring for her. She sulks and drags when we leave, but also sulks and drags when I need to go to the shop before I go home. She's been super reactive with other dogs and nearly pulled us into a passing car this morning.

This week has felt as though the dog has aimed to make my free time as difficult as possible. I'm trying to be sympathetic because the past 3 weeks have been inconsistent (for reasons outside of our control), but godDAMN.

So if they want migrants to get work, maybe the DWP should get off their asses and provide proper support, rather than twiddling their thumbs waiting for a sub-contractor to do it for them.
They ain't busy! Most of my DWP appointments were my work coach asking me about my love life.

My new job works with many migrants & they're often self conscious about their language skills (even though they're usually pretty fluent).
They have to be unemployed for a year to come to us, THEN we send them on courses for 1-2 years at the local college.
Before that, no-one does shit to help.
