After watching the TNG episode "Darmok" I turned to my partner and said "Frog and Toad on a bicycle." (I love you and you're my best friend) and my partner turned to me and responded, "Pooh and Piglet on a windy day." (I love you and I'll support you when you're anxious.) We still say it regularly!

My favorite part of this meme/challenge was revisiting all the great memories I have of watching horror movies with you!

I have freshly done nails and packed a bag of trail mix for a morning snack. Every time I bite down on a banana chip I am certain I just bit through my nail and panic. I have not bit through my nails once- but there are a lot of banana chips in this dang trail mix. Anxiety is so ridiculous.

Also shout out to CMH Astoria's imaging department for having little treats for breast cancer awareness month. Love my manicure kit and new polishes.

They can't officially declare it benign for two years, but my doctor is very confident that there's no change or growth and that feels really good.

Follow up mammogram today. Worst case scenario, I get insurance covered top surgery and a sweet new hair cut or the tits are in fact not a ticking time bomb and either way I win.

I could start one of the many, many new titles on my TBR list, but if I'm honest the siren song of rereading Jo Walton's "Tooth And Claw" two months before my typical holiday reread is getting harder and harder to ignore. Perhaps I'll just...re-download the audiobook and listen while I'm knitting...

I LOVE Becky Chambers' work, the Wayfarers books are a phenomenal series so Long Way is my vote!

Flying home after three weeks at Mom's. Can feel the immediate mental shift away from dutiful youngest daughter mode. I'm so very tired. It's a good tired, but I'm ready to rest and take care of myself now.
