Something to point out is that Pace's ADA budget is almost equal to that of the Fixed Route (FR) budget despite only providing 10% of overall ridership. The FR budget is proposed to increase with ReVision but with no reallocation from the ADA budget despite this reducing the need for paratransit.

OGX in Ogden opened in 2023 and is fareless until next August. SLC also added bus lanes and improved boarding platforms along 8 blocks of 200 S which is now their version of the Loop Link and also is fareless within the downtown area. Most riders are using TRAX or Frontrunner to access these routes.

I'm assuming a major reason for the UTA Trax dropoff is due to the current construction closure of the Red Line's University Branch which has been ongoing since mid-May. Not only is this losing out on riders along the branch but also from Frontrunner as riders are taking the 2 instead of the Red.

They also screwed up the one good UP-N to MD-W weekend transfer AGAIN. The 13-minute transfer is now 50 minutes making the fastest option to take the Purple to the Red to the Loop Link instead of waiting for the transfer. It is also 5 minutes faster to take the 250 to Morton Grove and the MD-N in.

If a police escort is needed to make it safe to pick up garbage along a bike path and to cross the street, then it's not safe to be along it normally. You can't even blame IDOT for this as Addison Rd is under the jurisdiction of DuPage County.

My girlfriend and I spent an entire week in DC and Arlington walking, biking, and taking transit the entire time and we never felt unsafe. The time we felt the most unsafe was just being in the vicinity of the White House.

Yes, Clybourn does have two lines stopping at it, but due to the subpar the UP-NW's Sunday and UP-N's Entire Weekend schedules, only 4 more trains stop at Clybourn pm a weekend (76) compared to Naperville and Route 59 on the BNSF (72).

Also the reason I say assumedly for the UP-NW schedule is because the link for it gives you a 404 error.

Once again UP-N and assumedly UP-NW expresses are skipping Clybourn despite it being faster to get to North Ave Beach via the CTA 73 bus which would save at least 30 minutes. There is no reason to be skipping the weekend's most used station, let alone when it is the best transfer.

The biggest stresser when it comes to hiking is worrying about if there's going to be room to park. When you can take transit there, that isn't an issue.

I agree with that, but the more you fund with On Demand Service, the less you need to subsidize with other programs like TAP and RAP. Additionally, services like this can be a gateway to additional fixed routes when actual ridership numbers can be seen between destinations.

That number included paratransit, which is the majority of the cost. I assume that's not included in your Pace number as its $281M on its own.
