I just got a grade of 93% on my research essay for that class ✨

Red paint background with the cover for Choices: An Anthology of Reproductive Horror on the left. The cover lists the editor, Dianna Gunn, the author of the foreward, Alex Woodroe, and the names of the authors: R Haven, Ondine Mayor, Enoli Lee, Ash Vale, Justine White, Kelli Etheridge, Ava Victoria Black, Allay Rei, Soyam Siddha, Sam Rosewilde, A.H. Davison, Meg Calendaria, KT Wagner, Anne Wilkins, Bogi Takacs, Amanda Cecelia Lang, Elise Scott, Mia Dalia, Raluca Balasa. The right side says: “As the horrors close in around us, we turn to story to process our fears, our desires, and our futures. In Choices: An Anthology of Reproductive Horror, nineteen writers whose reproductive rights are under threat explore the stories of those who, like them, have had their choices stolen from them. These stories serve as a reminder of the power of choice and the importance of fighting for every human’s right to choose their own future.”

Well, the rabbit's out of the PM bag! I have a lot of thoughts on what it means at last to be fulfilling the dream I've nurtured since I was 7 years old, but for right now I'm afraid all I have for you is the mental image of me flapping in a circle while I shout, I'M GOING TO BE A PUBLISHED AUTHOR!!

I think up to a certain age, reading a certain amount of books should be mandatory, but NOT in the 'assigned reading' sense. Like, choose your own books via what intrigues you (including audiobooks and GN), but you DO have to get x amount of reading done in a school year

I put my roommate in charge of crushing garlic for the curry. This was the convo:
Her: How many cloves should I add?
Me: The initial recipe calls for 2, so I usually do 4.
Her: ... Do you though.
Me: Well, yeah, though if the cloves seem too small, I do 6.
Her: Should I do 8?
Me: Yeah, do 8.
