I was watching a couple of the scenes where the old newspapers guys were sitting around deciding on the headlines for the next day and I was thinking β itβs almost impossible to imagine a film this dialogue intensive now β it felt hard to keep up with them & I feel itβs because Iβm out of practice!

I think I have watch Klute, but many years ago
The Parallax View I must check out
It feels, honestly, almost quaint that anyone should care about any of the things the characters in the movie are stressing about
The President was shown to be complicit in a conspiracy?
Who cares?
Big whoop.
False news.
#LookOverHere
I can imagine myself watching it 20 years ago thinking it was a story of people of principle β heros β fighting to save #democracy
Now the shadow of #RogerStone seems to be just of camera in almost every frame
Watched #AllThePresidentsMen on #SBS tonight
I find it really hard to get my head around the difference in how this movie would have landed to someone watching it 20 years ago, to how it seems to someone watching it today

There was a time not long ago when accounts like his didnβt exist on Bluesky
Block and move on
1 minute heβs β Victoria is fast becoming the βhate stateβ
Next minute β heβs claiming heβs βjust reporting factsβ
Youβre probably the most pathetic troll on bsky
Heβs got like two followers anyway @ovensriver3741.bsky.social
Donβt bother replying βAlanβ
1st I reported you, now youβre blocked
If you think this sort of vile behaviour will get more people to agree with you youβre 100% wrong
Congratulations, youβre the first person Iβve ever had to report on Bluesky
I know you wonβt, but you should have a long hard look at yourself because your future is full of self-hate and loneliness
The way youβre speaking towards @ovensriver3741.bsky.social is completely unacceptable
She did nothing more than disagree with you which you misinterpreted to give you an excuse to indulge yourself in personal abuse

Ned Kelly and his gang are iconic figures here in South Eastern Australia
(Chopper Reid is a much more recent violent criminal with a larger than life personality)
One from the vaults! Fabulous Animals by Sir David Attenborough and Molly Cox (BBC 1976), based on the TV series of the name in which Sir David investigated all manner of mythical beasts!

Two more . . .
It is tough because no one is making runs on these pitches
But I think he probably needs to go back to state cricket and try to earn a spot again
Call up a couple of the other openers who have been on the edge of selection
This pitch wasnβt easy to bat on so we can take that into account
But it wasnβt so much that he made 3 and then was apparently dropped a couple of times on his way to 5, itβs the way heβs going about it - looks out of his depth
Needs a 100 or two classy 50s to be picked for the Ashes IMO
This is true

Really?
It isnβt like Iβm some kind of USA fan boy
But the list had Iraq 1991 and Kuwait 1991 listed as seperate items when they were the exact same military action (against Iraq)
Surely you can see that is disingenuous?
Urgh
Yes
Now I feel bad
That does sound rather horrendous
I got stuck on Singapore airport for 72 hours once, which was pretty surreal

They werenβt attacking Kuwait like the list implies, but defending Kuwait
