Fascinating

She just looks quite expressive compared to some barbies you see but maybe that’s because she’s seen a lot of life

I was watching a couple of the scenes where the old newspapers guys were sitting around deciding on the headlines for the next day and I was thinking – it’s almost impossible to imagine a film this dialogue intensive now – it felt hard to keep up with them & I feel it’s because I’m out of practice!

It feels, honestly, almost quaint that anyone should care about any of the things the characters in the movie are stressing about

The President was shown to be complicit in a conspiracy?

Who cares?

Big whoop.

False news.

I can imagine myself watching it 20 years ago thinking it was a story of people of principle – heros – fighting to save #democracy

Now the shadow of #RogerStone seems to be just of camera in almost every frame

Watched #AllThePresidentsMen on #SBS tonight

I find it really hard to get my head around the difference in how this movie would have landed to someone watching it 20 years ago, to how it seems to someone watching it today

There was a time not long ago when accounts like his didn’t exist on Bluesky

Block and move on

1 minute he’s – Victoria is fast becoming the β€œhate state”

Next minute – he’s claiming he’s β€œjust reporting facts”

You’re probably the most pathetic troll on bsky

He’s got like two followers anyway @ovensriver3741.bsky.social

Don’t bother replying β€œAlan”

1st I reported you, now you’re blocked

If you think this sort of vile behaviour will get more people to agree with you you’re 100% wrong

Congratulations, you’re the first person I’ve ever had to report on Bluesky

I know you won’t, but you should have a long hard look at yourself because your future is full of self-hate and loneliness

The way you’re speaking towards @ovensriver3741.bsky.social is completely unacceptable

She did nothing more than disagree with you which you misinterpreted to give you an excuse to indulge yourself in personal abuse

Just replied to @fladdle.bsky.social as well

I’ve been taking a break while I had a bit on

Not disappeared for ever, and thinking of making my comeback soon

(Got a few good things saved up and ready to go)

Ned Kelly and his gang are iconic figures here in South Eastern Australia

(Chopper Reid is a much more recent violent criminal with a larger than life personality)

AI band fools millions - so why is Spotify peddling their 'music'? If something seems a little strange to you aboutΒ The Velvet Sundown, a band with more than 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, you're not wrong.

I’m an associate producer for a hot new act called Velvet Vanilli

Please give us 1,000,000 streams on Spotify

OK

Thx

Two more . . .

It is tough because no one is making runs on these pitches

But I think he probably needs to go back to state cricket and try to earn a spot again

Call up a couple of the other openers who have been on the edge of selection

04.07.2025 22:27 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This pitch wasn’t easy to bat on so we can take that into account

But it wasn’t so much that he made 3 and then was apparently dropped a couple of times on his way to 5, it’s the way he’s going about it - looks out of his depth

Needs a 100 or two classy 50s to be picked for the Ashes IMO

Really?

It isn’t like I’m some kind of USA fan boy

But the list had Iraq 1991 and Kuwait 1991 listed as seperate items when they were the exact same military action (against Iraq)

Surely you can see that is disingenuous?

Urgh

Yes

Now I feel bad

That does sound rather horrendous

I got stuck on Singapore airport for 72 hours once, which was pretty surreal

No, because the US was intervening to expel the invading Iraqi forces out of Kuwait

They weren’t attacking Kuwait like the list implies, but defending Kuwait

Am I right?
