I am less worried about the lows. It's the highs (the seasonal peak ice) that keeps dropping that concerns me the most.

Probably the 1990s slower growth was due to the time more efficient emissions restrictions came out. Instead of so many gas guzzlers. Lower CO2 is a byproduct of greater fuel efficiency.

Yep. You need the area and the timespan.
Also note that probability doesn't have anything to do with intensity either. You could have 10% chance but it be a very intense thunderstorm that lasts for 5 minutes and it's blown past. That's why paying attention to the full weather report is important.

Line graph time series of 2025's daily 2-m temperature in the Arctic compared to each year from 1958 through 2024. There is a long-term warming trend for every day of the year. There is also large interannual variability and a clear seasonal cycle.

Record high temperatures are currently being set across the northernmost portions of the #Arctic. In fact, it is effectively ice-free on the Atlantic side of the Arctic all the way up to about 85°N latitude! This includes record low sea ice around Svalbard.
