My sister tested herself for COVID just recently and it came out negative with just the nasal test, but positive when she tested her throat as well.

Debbie Abrahams MP at the Liaison Committee
On welfare cuts, Labour's Debbie Abrahams MP at the Liaison Committee tells the PM to his face: "This was poor legislation, designed to save money...by cutting support to disabled people.
"It was so far removed from Labour values of fairness, social justice, and decency...It made me feel ashamed."

Thanks Sarah. Although I feel the 65+ cohort perhaps requires further subdivisions these days.
28.06.2025 16:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 018-24 is a six-year span. I'd be interested in the figures for those in the six years from age 65-71. As a pro-rejoin 65-year-old I see a huge difference in attitude between myself and those also lumped into the huge open-ended over-65 group but who are 15/20 years older than me.
23.06.2025 07:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Urgent need for proper journo research about the implications of this. Maybe talk to the LGA and/or an experienced council officer about what happens when a ruling party refuses to deliver on its basic obligations.

Imagine this: On the evening of March 8, you and your spouse unlock the door to your apartment building. As you step inside, two menβnot in uniformβpush their way in behind you. They tell you your visa has been revoked and that they are there to deport you.

Inside page showing verse and illustration by the author. I'd hurry down to meet him And shake him by the hang. I'd take his jacket from him And hang it on the stand.
Just published, and borrowed from my local library. A nice enough poem and illustrations. But I'd say it's the famous name alone which has guaranteed its publication. No criticism of Mackenzie Crook, but depressing to see this trend in book publishing.
