#AGDQ2026 got me excited to play some Games Done Eventually.
I'll see if I can beat the first gym in the time it took @adef.bsky.social to beat the whole game.

Dr. Apathy's just this guy, you know?

Great capstone to a great AGDQ!
I'm thrilled to get more of @ohheyitskara.bsky.social - I'm a big Film Reroll fan, and finding her here has been a delightful surprise!
Peel me off this velcro seat and get me moving... to those sweet Mike Dirnt basslines.

It's time for some spooky gaming!

Hey #vinylsky
Is Merchbar a scam?
They haven't shipped my records that I ordered more than seven months ago. Now I asked for a refund, and they're only offering store credit.
What good is store credit if they don't actually ship anything?
I just introduced some friends to Chu Chu Rocket! That game deserves more love and attention.

25.02.2025 06:12 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My Vampire playlist has much more of The Cure and The Jesus and Mary Chain, but that's probably because my games are set in the '90s.

One of my favorite Vampire: the Masquerade games I ever ran was a mashup of The Lost Boys, The Crow, and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo.

My final game is Love Letter. This is the one I keep in my bag anywhere I go. It's another fun and simple one.
There's a special version of Love Letter you can only buy if you're getting married, and I picked up a few cases for people to play at my wedding and take home with them.
My eleventh game is The Legend of Zelda. This was the first game I got for my NES (not counting SMB/DH.)
I read somewhere that Miyamoto intended this game to recreate his experience of exploring the woods as a child, and it worked on me.
Number ten is Coup. It's a simple game where you're focused on the people at the table, and not the rules. I wore out my copy in grad school, and I'm still not sick of it.
27.12.2024 04:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Number nine is Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0. I know there's a new Cyberpunk game out now, but my copy of CP 2020 has been signed by Maximum Mike himself, so I'm unlikely to put it down.
27.12.2024 04:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My eighth game is Secret of Mana for the SNES. It's a rare two-player RPG, and I grew up with a brother, so this was heavily in the rotation.
27.12.2024 04:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Lucky number seven is my first RPG and still near and dear to my heart! I kind of miss the days where it was considered cheating if the players knew the rules.
27.12.2024 04:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Number six is a kids game called Monza. I found this with my oldest kid when he was five, and it's been his gateway into the world of board games.
It's simple enough for small kids, but still engaging and fun for older kids and even adults. Might be my most obscure pick, but it's a gem.
Number five is Call of Cthulhu. I've run more CoC than any other game in the last ten years and it's always a good time.
If you enjoy mysteries, haunted houses, terrifying monsters, cultists, or losing your grip on reality, this game is for you!
My fourth game is Final Fantasy VI. I've played this at least a dozen times and it keeps getting better.
Most of the characters are great, but Celes is obviously the best and the opera scene is one of the best moments in any game.
My third game is Android: Netrunner (RIP, gone too soon.) If you don't know why this game is so amazing I'm scared to tell you, now that it's out of print.
27.12.2024 04:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0My second pick is Dr. Mario. I have yet to meet anyone who can beat me at this game.
I picked up the name Dr. Apathy because the two things I was good at in undergrad were: (1) Dr. Mario on the NES, and (2) not caring as much as I should about important things.
I'll get in on this! Top 12 games of my life, in no particular order.
My first game is the first non-D&D ttrpg I played, and still a favorite. Tell me you want to play Vampire: the Masquerade and I'll find a way to make it happen.
