In 1923, SCOTUS denied Bhagat Singh Thind citizenship because he was brown. In 1942, Japanese Americans were forced into camps.

Thanks for the warning. I have nothing against religion. I have nothing against people whose religious views shape their politics. My concern is what I see as a trend in US politics which makes embracing mainstream religious views an entry requirement. And the history of religion in politics.
