Model-free photon analysis of diffusion-based single-molecule FRET experiments - Nature Communications The authors show how to compute the autocorrelation function of FRET efficiencies and obtain dynamic information from as little as a few thousand molecules.

They showed how the conformational dynamics of single molecules can be retrieved from FRET correlation functions in diffusion-based smFRET experiments.
