You misunderstand me logplop. Nebulus is fantastic as a game, but in the great school of 8 bit optical trickery, nebulus is just making some bricks longer and shorter. This is full 3d rotation. I mean, it probably isn't, but it godamn looks like it is.

The tower games loads levels, so my guess is they're slamming the ram hard to get the 3d rotation. That's running at 50fps so maybe loads of pre-rotated tiles in memory and then it just needs to work out the layer map between frames and pull in the graphics to match.

I think the 128 came too late to be fully exploited, and ofc not the relative numbers to make it worth 128 only games. It really just got extra music bolted on if there was a 128 release bitd.
