Basically, our relatively large back deck is a lifesaver, and I couldn't live on here without it. And a lot of canal boats at this marina don't have one (or have significantly smaller ones), so I am eternally grateful for ours.

There's also a huge downside to the boat. The roof is steel so in direct sunlight, this place bakes and can be unlivable on a hot afternoon, but at the very least if you're outside in shade, it's usually at least cooler than it is away from the water, even if just slightly enough to be tolerable.

The common denominator I've found? Everyone seems to fucking love Return to Oz. As they should.

I've seen people politely disagree but respect each other's opinions. I've seen fans who aren't into Wicked but love the attention it's bringing to Oz. Or who love the musical but not the book or vice versa. Or only love the MGM film. And everyone's just excited that everyone there is excited by Oz.

I swore I'd never get involved in a fandom again, but the Oz fandom is genuinely lovely? It's generally made up of people who actually love Oz and are positive towards it? And respect the fact that different fans are drawn to different Oz properties? I've never encountered anything like it before.
