I’ve never done this before… but I’m making the ashes myself.

I remember when we used to have a special Super Bowl halftime video featuring football players talking about their faith & how Jesus impacted their lives.

We’d watch at churches, with lots of good food, & invite people to come & hear the actual Gospel.

Jesus:

Liars lie.

Racists do racist things.

Evil men lash out in anger and violence.

Cowards hide behind their power and blame others.

Good people resist, denounce, and overcome such evil as they do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly.

I went to Camp Kakeka in Jr High for a week of AWANA Scholarship Camp.

My first crush was at this camp. Her name was Teresa & she was on the 4 person Bible Quiz team with me.

(We won, obvs.)

I wonder how many from this camp follow the Jesus way today?

Walk humbly.

And if you don’t think the American flag is an idol, just try removing it from an American church’s sanctuary and see what happens.

People love their favourite idols and hate having their idols challenged.

And the American flag is an idol.
