AnyWho, for people who actually want a list of the active gangs in LAPD, here's a Wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...
Colour me interested 👀

Last time I posted a picture of Kent State, Bluesky flagged it as a sensitive image. But here is a cover story to remind people why sending in the National Guard is a horrible act. I had a friend who suffered greatly from the things she witnessed that day.

A more friendly and helpful read, I think.
I'm hosting watch parties for When Life Gives You Tangerines. Come to find out that the other people had refused to watch it because it seemed too depressing and they needed support while watching it!
Glad I can offer some Kdrama support! @daebakpodcast.bsky.social @kdramamenfess.bsky.social

Acting seems much more democratic there in comparison to Korean television where only the prettiest of people have the right to earn a living showing their face on the screen. 31.05.2025 04:38 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Linguistics isn't language specific since it's the science of language. It's like saying "Western biology." (FWIW, I learned this mainly in Spanish linguistics class.)

Topolects in the US would be Southern English or Pacific Northwest English. In Europe it would be Swiss vs Austrian German. Someone from Guangzhou and someone from Fuzhou couldn't communicate without Mandarin.
Interesting. I was taught that dialects are mutually intelligible whereas languages are not. I googled "topolect" and it is defined as "the dialects of a specific area collectively, constituting a variety of a language." Cantonese and Fujianese would not be topolects since they languages.
