There's a reason you'll often catch me commenting on the artistry of a sex worker's content. I take content by sex workers and sexual artists as seriously as I do any other kind of creative work or art, if not moreso because of the risks involved in subversive content. I resent how many arguments take the shape of "porn shouldn't be censored because it's a slippery slope to censoring stuff that really matters, like queerness." I know people do it because so many of you are abject rubes who swallow the puritan lie that sex is a uniquely terrible subject to depict.

i have been focused on a notion of "garden-building" rather than "world-changing" for some time. the thing is- it is very difficult to make changes outside of your area of influence. but you can make things around you, right now, immediately, and impactfully

we live in a world that is increasingly becoming, metaphorically (and in some ways), a hostile desert. we might not be able to stop this, but you can create oases. you can create a home. a place. community or just a safe zone. it is through gardens we will survive.

I'd like to say "of course, that's a given," but...

There is no ideology that is wholly immune to the temptation to leverage a state of relative domination for selfish gain at the expense of a weaker group, but the shape and tactics of that can take different forms depending on the circumstances and beliefs of that group.

Not to claim that authoritarian thinking is wholly alien to jews, but there are, I think, some very meaningful differences in the approach Judaism takes in this area specifically.

Fair point, and I was unaware of those origins. My point is that I am averse to assuming a secret conspiracy exists when we have public admissions from the people collaborating to push their agendas.

Christianity is clearly viewed as a *source* of power, and it is viewed as such because such a large population of people call themselves christians and are inclined toward sympathy toward those they consider part of their own group.

I think the fact that these powerful people have to nominally at least *pretend* to be christian to lead these efforts, (like Project 2025, written by christofascists) suggests they are not being *led* by these people, these people are aligning themselves with christianity as a vehicle for power.
