I’m 47 and grew up under Section 28 (which Labour are kind of bringing back) and before the internet (which they are seeking to ban for teens).

Navigating growing up gay with almost no information and no one to talk to about it was incredibly isolating and puts you in a very vulnerable position.

Growing up on welfare, autistic, in a Muslim South Asian family all this was complicated further. Without the internet I'd have never understood myself. And yes maybe I saw things I shouldn't have with regards to sex for my age, but also frankly that's on the adults and society around me.

I find it weird that if I wanted to sue/apply for disability, I need an onset date, when I've always been autistic, lol, it's just that I gradually came to understand that bc of it I cannot handle available jobs emotionally, that took time and trial and error, didn't happen on a certain date
