Social groups are very good at quietly selecting for certain qualities. I haven’t seen a single result yet that wasn’t LARP πŸ˜‚

Captain America: Mystique and Destiny broke into Avengers Tower and used Pym Particles to escape!
Hawkeye: So there’s a small medium at large?
Captain America: You’re fired.

I met him at Glasgow Comic Con in the early 90s, right at the start of his X Factor run. What a privilege. It took so few of his comics to make me a lifelong fan

I don’t think so - it only triggers when Aurelia attacks for the first time in a turn, so you won’t get a chance to clone the trigger more than once at a time

The TPB of FROM THE ASHES was the first X Men I ever read. There’s a reason I’ve been a fan for the entire time since

This is one of my biggest bugbears in the history of modern popular cinema. Every time I see that sequel’s title, my blood boils.

I have just finished the episode, and I could not agree more strongly. As it stands, I think this is the best TV show of all time

It’s interesting you post this now… for the last few days I’ve used very little internet for non-work purposes, and have spent my time quietly reading a series of books. It’s been very good for me

I relate so strongly to this in particular. 90% of the people in my life up until the age of about 35 simply *did not believe* that my brain worked differently to theirs

That guy is an absolute titan. I think about all the incredibly ambitious stuff which has come since - mind blowing arcs like NEW X-MEN and the Krakoan saga - which can only exist because of the Atlas-shoulders of his work… my life as a reader of fiction would be entirely different without him

From the Ashes was my introduction to the X Men, when I stumbled across it in the tiny graphic novels section of my old library at about age 10.

No wonder I’ve loved everything about these characters since
