Xerocomellus sp. These are great dried and some years I can find a whole lot of them, but this year hasn't been great for mushrooms because it's been cold and dry, so I've only found this one. :(

Probable Death Cap and an old and dry Amethyst Deceiver (Laccaria sp.) A.D.s are called that because they change color, not because they are dangerous (but this one was past its prime anyway so I left it where it was.)

Russula cyanoxantha, aka Charcoal Burner Mushroom. I hadn't tried one before, it has a nice crisp texture and savory taste! Too bad they don't seem to be thick on the ground around here.

Recently I've finished a new graphic novel called HUMAN CAPITAL--I've gotten good feedback about it but it seems like getting a weird thing like this published is nearly impossible these days, so I'm going to look into a crowdfunded printing in a month or so. I'll keep you posted!
