Very true. But there seems to be no intention even to investigate. The inappropriate reverence of the RF, from so many of the population. A propos nothing, he was uniformly despised by colleagues of mine who worked with him.

Time for major, radical change. That won’t come from Wet Willie & Kate. The Duchy is just too lucrative.

Headlights to be reviewed after drivers complain of being 'blinded' at night
At last! And it’s not just we older drivers, who have been complaining!

“Flawed contracts” and “incompetent delivery”. This in the (largely previous government) context of asylum-seeker accommodation. Could cover just about every government contract since wholesale privatisation, though.

Yes. Which is much more, the North America where I once lived and worked off and on. Not the cammed-out, masked robocops on the streets as now. It’s baffling and extremely worrying

Marina Hyde, at the weekend: “The duke’s ‘punishments’ are so absurd that they read like satire on the entire institution of the monarchy”. Yep.

Good to hear Duchy commerce being called out, on the news this morning for pseudo-independence, when it benefits from all sorts of tax breaks not available to normal commercial outlets. And that’s only the start of it…….

Yes. On this side of the Pond. Read it extracted, over the weekend. Not great literature, but great (and saddening) impact. Files must be released. The (nearly) untouchable royal sibling also needs thorough reaming…..

It’s too easy to tell His Maj. to grow a pair and put his tub of lard bro where he belongs. The overblown stuffed-with risk-averse, grey-suited jobsworths of the Royal Household are the actual power behind-the. They’ll do anything to avoid an issue that might threaten their sinecures.

I conceptualise a sort of technology-driven information spectrum, indifference/consumer convenience/data collection/data analysis/spying, along which the lines are blurred. My EV tells me where it is at all times. I dunno what to think. Beijing will probably tell me.

No idea whether the royal sibling’s alleged activities were illegal, morally dubious (to say the least) or even happened. However, pretty sure that any ‘normal’ person would have been thoroughly and formally investigated by now. Perhaps he has. Which begs another question.

Yeah. We were expats in SE Asia for years. The regret is chasing career and $$ instead but I think we got away with it and that career saw them through and into great careers both. Being a parent ain’t easy, is it?

We’re fine thanks. Your lovely girls will fly. We were empty-nesters from the boys’ aged 9. Regret that but they survived, and thrived latterly. Made departure for uni a doddle, though!
